Job Summary
An esteemed education facility in Oxford is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join its dynamic kitchen team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate culinary professional to work in a vibrant and multicultural environment, contributing to the preparation of high-quality meals for students, staff, and guests.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and present high-quality dishes for daily meals, events, and functions.
* Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in menu planning and kitchen operations.
* Ensure food preparation areas are clean and meet food hygiene and safety standards.
* Manage your assigned section efficiently, ensuring consistent quality and timely delivery.
* Assist in stock control, ordering, and minimizing food waste.
* Adapt to dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, and allergen-sensitive dishes.
Key Skills and Competencies
* Passion for cooking and delivering exceptional dishes.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Commitment to maintaining high food hygiene and safety standards.
Qualifications and Experience
* Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume catering or educational setting.
* Formal culinary training and certifications are preferred.
* Knowledge of food hygiene regulations (Level 2 or higher Food Hygiene Certificate required).
* Experience preparing a wide range of cuisines to cater to diverse preferences.
