Warehouse Operatives

Blue Arrow are looking for a Warehouse Operatives to join a very busy team, supporting with their peak period over the next couple of months. Are you looking for a new opportunity this summer? If so this could be for you!

Warehouse Operative
Welwyn Garden City, AL7
£12.65per hour (PAYE)
Start Date: May 2024
End Date: End of July 2025

Full time only, up to 47.5 - 56 hours during peak - Week days plus the occasional Saturday morning
Monday to Friday, hours 2pm - 10pm

Training Period/Hours:
* Your Training period will run for your first two days on site
* Hours are 14.00-22.00


Main Responsibilities:
* General warehouse work including light assembly. Should you become permanent we would require you to undertake flexi-truck training.
* Afternoon shift involves a combination of warehouse picking/replenishment/counting stock/working in goods in and loading of vehicles, by roll cage or parcel by parcel.


Skills Required:
* Meticulous attention to detail
* Familiarity with IT to enable use of handheld barcode scanning devices and updating of spreadsheets
* Candidates need to be physically fit, able to lift up to 25kg repeatedly, have a very good understanding of English and be able to work quickly and accurately.
* Working knowledge of warehouse functions
* Working knowledge or willingness to learn goods in functions
* Good verbal communication skills
* To have an awareness of Health and Safety


A Successful Candidate must:
* Be comfortable with manual handling
* Have safety boots, this is a site requirement and they should have steel toe caps
* Be fully committed to work across the above-mentioned shift patterns and dates, with flexibility for occasional Saturday work
