The role will provide essential administrative support within Medical Specialties and Hospital Services.</p><p>This position is ideal for an experienced administrator who thrives in a busy healthcare environment and is committed to delivering high standards of service in a patient-focused setting.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support within a hospital environment</li><li>Maintain and update patient information accurately using electronic systems</li><li>Manage appointments, diaries, waiting lists, and work queues in line with Trust targets</li><li>Scan, upload, and maintain electronic and manual records</li><li>Act as a first point of contact for patient and staff enquiries</li><li>Support audits, reports, and statistical data preparation</li><li>Provide reception cover when required</li><li>Undertake general office duties including word processing, minute taking, and email management</li><li>Liaise with clinical teams, GP practices, and administrative colleagues</li></ul><h3>Essential Criteria</h3><p><strong>Applicants must meet one of the following:</strong></p><ul><li>4 GCSEs (A-C) including English Language, plus <strong>1 year's administrative/clerical experience</strong><br /> <strong>OR</strong></li><li>NVQ Level 2 in Administration plus <strong>1 year's administrative/clerical experience</strong><br /> <strong>OR</strong></li><li><strong>2 years' administrative/clerical experience</strong></li></ul><p><strong>In addition, candidates must demonstrate:</strong></p><ul><li>At least 1 year's word processing experience</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook</li><li>Strong organisational skills and attention to detail</li><li>Ability to prioritise workload and work on own initiative</li><li>Excellent communication and team-working skills</li><li>Awareness of confidentiality and Data Protection requirements</li></ul><h3>What's on Offer</h3><ul><li>Competitive hourly rate of <strong>£12.75 per hour</strong></li><li>Experience within a large public-sector healthcare organisation</li><li>Full-time hours with ongoing agency support</li></ul><h3>Important Information</h3><p>✅ <strong>Availability to attend an informal interview on Tuesday 5th May is essential</strong><br /> ✅ <strong>Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted</strong></p><h3>How to Apply</h3><p>If you meet the criteria and are available for interview on the specified date, please submit your CV as soon as possible.</p></div><p> </p><p> </p><div> </div>
