This is a vital operational role requiring excellent communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to work under pressure and at short notice.<hr /><h2>📞 Key Duties</h2><ul><li>Operate the Trust telephone systems promptly, efficiently, and professionally</li><li>Prioritise responsibilities, especially during emergencies or system failures</li><li>Operate the Trust's internal/external paging systems and communication platforms</li><li>Handle emergency calls, including cardiac arrests, maternity emergencies, and major incidents</li><li>Monitor estates alarm boards and report faults or alarms appropriately</li><li>Participate in live exercise drills for all emergency response teams</li></ul><hr /><h2>✔️ What We're Looking For</h2>The ideal candidate will be able to:<ul><li>Work on an As &amp; When basis with short‑notice availability</li><li>Work any shift pattern across all 365 days, including nights and weekends</li><li>Commit to working evenings and every other weekend</li><li>Ideally have access to their own transport</li><li>Be reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing service demands</li></ul><hr /><h2>🎓 Essential Criteria</h2>Candidates must meet one of the following routes:<ul><li>5 GCSEs, including English &amp; Maths at Grade C or above (or equivalent)AND</li><li>1 year's experience working in an administrative role</li></ul>OR<ul><li>2 years' administration experience </li></ul><h3>Additional Essential Requirement</h3><ul><li>Experience operating a busy switchboard</li></ul></div>
