Professional Support Assistant
Belfast BT8
£12.75 per hour
37.5 hours per week- 9.00am - 5.00pm Monday to Thursday & 8.30am - 4.30pm on Friday
JOB SUMMARY:
The Professional Support and Wellbeing Team is responsible for the delivery of the following
functions:
* Medical and Dental Recruitment
* Pre-employment Checks
* Skilled Worker Sponsorship
* New to Northern Ireland Programme (N2NI)
* Trainee Support
* Equality and Diversity - Section 75 and GMC requirements
* Workshops and Events for NIMDTA Educators, Trainers and Trainees
* HR Controls
The post-holder will assist in the delivery of efficient, high quality human resources and
professional support functions supporting a range of day‑to‑day activities such as:
Pre-employment Checks
1. To assist with the co-ordination of AccessNI checks (to include processing of AccessNI
checks), pre-employment health assessments and right to work checks for all junior doctors
and dentists appointed to training programmes within Northern Ireland.
2. To monitor the progress of trainees' pre-employment checks to update Trust medical HR
and NIMDTA training/employment departments.
3. To develop close working relationships with members of the NIMDTA training/employment
departments, Trust medical HR teams and Trust Occupational Health departments.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
Qualifications/Experience
Applicants should provide clear details of their qualifications
and previous experience within their application form.
1a. Five GCSE's (including GCSE English Language and
GCSE Maths (Grades A* - C) OR
equivalent qualification to demonstrate literacy and
numeracy
OR
Higher Qualification
OR
1b. 18 Months relevant experience*
2. One year's experience working with Microsoft Office or
similar
* Relevant experience is defined as working in an office
environment carrying out administrative duties such as
preparing written correspondence, maintaining systems /
databases, communicating with stakeholders.
Hold a full current driving license valid for use in the UK
and have access to a car on appointment.
This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose
disability prohibits driving but who have access to an approved
form of transport which will permit them to carry out the duties of
the post.
