This is a fast‑paced, patient‑facing administrative role, ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment and has strong organisational and communication skills.</p><p>The Appointments Office handles a high volume of patient calls and queries. The successful candidate will support the scheduling of appointments, management of waiting list information, and the delivery of an efficient, patient‑focused service.</p><hr /><h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2><p>✔ Handling multiple incoming calls and patient queries in a call‑centre-style office<br /> ✔ Booking appointments and calculating waiting times/lists in line with Trust protocols<br /> ✔ Inputting and updating patient data across electronic systems (e.g., Epic, PAS, Patient Centre)<br /> ✔ Scanning, uploading, and maintaining accurate electronic records<br /> ✔ Managing own workload, prioritising tasks, and meeting deadlines<br /> ✔ Liaising with clinical and administrative teams<br /> ✔ Providing general office support: email management, photocopying, filing, reception cover<br /> ✔ Producing reports, basic statistics and supporting audits where required</p><hr /><h2><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></h2><p>Candidates <strong>must meet at least ONE</strong> of the qualification/experience pathways:</p><h3><strong>Option A</strong></h3><p>* 4 GCSEs Grade A-C including English<br /> * <strong>+ 1 year</strong> administrative/clerical experience</p><h3><strong>Option B</strong></h3><p>* NVQ Level 2 in Administration (or equivalent)<br /> * <strong>+ 1 year</strong> administrative/clerical experience</p><h3><strong>Option C</strong></h3><p>* <strong>2 years</strong> administrative/clerical experience (no formal qualifications required)</p><h3><strong>Additional Essential Requirements</strong></h3><p>* 1 year word‑processing experience<br /> * Experience using <strong>Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook</strong><br /> * Strong communication and organisational skills<br /> * Ability to work under pressure in a busy office<br /> * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team</p></div><p> </p>
