This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth running of daily operations, supporting training coordination, onboarding new bank staff, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to the weekly payroll process.</p><p> </p><hr /><h1><strong>⭐ Key Responsibilities</strong></h1><h3><strong>Bank Office Administration</strong></h3><ul><li>Provide robust and efficient administrative support to ensure timely short‑term staffing cover across the Trust.</li><li>Adhere to Bank and Agency protocols to ensure processes are followed correctly.</li><li>Update the Trust's Bank Staff system, matching service needs to staff availability by staff group and banding.</li><li>Maintain accurate electronic and manual records for training, staffing, and daily operations.</li></ul><h3><strong>System Use, Reporting &amp; Compliance</strong></h3><ul><li>Run reports from the Bank Staff system to support governance requirements.</li><li>Review NMC registration &amp; revalidation information to ensure compliance for registered staff.</li><li>Schedule, record and report on mandatory and role‑specific training for bank staff.</li><li>Support regular system cleansing to remove inactive staff.</li><li>Process new starters: ensure mandatory training completion, accurate record entry, ID verification and uniform issue.</li></ul><h3><strong>Payroll &amp; Scheduling Support</strong></h3><ul><li>Support the Bank Co‑ordinator with weekly payroll processing to meet submission deadlines.</li><li>Handle inbound calls and participate in shift‑filling duties to ensure wards are staffed in a timely manner.</li><li>Assist with administration of Working Time Regulations for Bank &amp; Agency staff.</li></ul><h3><strong>Customer Service &amp; Query Handling</strong></h3><ul><li>Engage with candidates and managers to support onboarding and general queries.</li><li>Deal with enquiries from bank staff, managers, payroll, external agencies and the public, escalating complex matters as required.</li><li>Maintain strong communication with clinical, nursing, administrative and HROD teams.</li></ul><h3><strong>Quality, Improvement &amp; Team Support</strong></h3><ul><li>Prioritise workload effectively to meet agreed performance standards.</li><li>Contribute to ongoing improvements in processes, quality and service delivery.</li><li>Support training and induction of new staff.</li><li>Undertake delegated tasks or projects as required by the Head of Resourcing.</li></ul><hr /><h1><strong>✔ Essential Criteria</strong></h1><p>Applicants must meet <strong>one</strong> of the following qualification/experience routes:</p><h3><strong>Route A:</strong></h3><ul><li><strong>4 GCSEs (Grades A-C)</strong> including <strong>English Language</strong> (or equivalent/higher qualification)<br /> <strong>AND</strong></li><li><strong>1 year's clerical/administrative experience</strong></li></ul><h3><strong>Route B:</strong></h3><ul><li><strong>NVQ Level 2 in Administration (or equivalent)</strong><br /> <strong>AND</strong></li><li><strong>1 year's clerical/administrative experience</strong></li></ul><h3><strong>Route C:</strong></h3><ul><li><strong>2 years' clerical/administrative experience</strong></li></ul><h3><strong>PLUS:</strong></h3><ul><li><strong>Experience using Microsoft Office</strong>, including <strong>Word, Excel and Outlook</strong> (or equivalent)</li></ul></div><p> </p>
