You will support adults with learning, physical and/or sensory disabilities who attend our day services, helping them to achieve their personal goals, maintain independence and enjoy meaningful activities both within the centre and in the wider community.This is a rewarding role where you'll make a positive difference every day by upholding dignity, promoting choice, and enhancing the quality of life for service users.<hr /><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2>As a Day Care Support Worker, you will:<ul><li>Support the delivery of person‑centred care plans and contribute to ongoing assessment and review.</li><li>Assist service users with personal and physical care where required.</li><li>Implement daily activities, therapeutic programmes and community-based opportunities.</li><li>Support individuals with complex health or behavioural needs, following training and guidance.</li><li>Adhere to all Trust policies including safeguarding, health &amp; safety, medication procedures, and infection control.</li><li>Assist with the provision of meals and follow individual eating/drinking risk assessments.</li><li>Participate in mandatory training, supervision, and team meetings.</li><li>Maintain accurate records in line with professional and legislative standards.</li><li>Work collaboratively with families, carers, colleagues, and allied health professionals.</li></ul><hr /><h2>Essential Criteria</h2>You must have one of the following:<ul><li>NVQ/QCF/VRQ/RCF Level 2 Diploma in Health &amp; Social Care OR</li><li>4 GCSEs (A-C) including English Language and 1 year's paid experience delivering direct care in a hospital, residential, nursing or community care setting OR</li><li>2 years paid experience delivering direct care in a care environment</li></ul>Additional requirements:<ul><li>Willingness to complete QCF Level 3 Health &amp; Social Care within 1 year of appointment</li><li>NISCC registration (or willingness to register upon appointment)</li><li>Full UK driving licence and access to a car (unless exempt due to disability)</li></ul><hr /><h2>Desirable Criteria</h2><ul><li>Experience working within disability services</li><li>Level 3 Diploma in Health &amp; Social Care (or equivalent)</li></ul></div>
