Radiographer (Diagnostic) - Band 5

Location: Whiteabbey Hospital (with travel to additional sites as required)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm + out‑of‑hours and bank holiday cover
Rate of Pay: £15.88 per hour

This is a temporary position for 2 months initially.

We are recruiting a Band 5 Radiographer (Diagnostic) to deliver high‑quality imaging services and support patient care across multiple hospital sites. This role requires a committed professional who can work flexibly and uphold excellent clinical standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform radiographic and imaging examinations to a high clinical standard
  • Maintain safe working practices in line with radiation protection regulations
  • Assist with daily equipment checks and quality assurance procedures
  • Ensure accurate imaging, following exposure charts and assessment guidelines
  • Support junior staff and student radiographers where required
  • Work flexibly to meet service demands, including occasional extended days, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
  • Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and multidisciplinary teams

Essential Requirements

  • Diploma of the College of Radiographers or BSc (Hons) Radiography (Diagnostic)
  • HCPC registration (or eligibility to apply before starting)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to suitable transport (unless exempt due to disability)

This role involves cross‑site working, participation in audit/quality initiatives, ongoing CPD, and adherence to all relevant professional, clinical, and safety standards.
