Pharmaceutical Payment Manager

Belfast

£19.10 per hour

JOB SUMMARY


The jobholder will provide high quality support to the FPS Pharmaceutical Service Manager in the daily management of FPS Pharmaceutical payment and business operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality business/payment services for Family Practitioner Services Pharmaceutical contractors. The jobholder will provide support and advice in the operational management of all directly managed business, payment and external customer facing web services within the Family Practitioner Services Pharmaceutical department. The post-holder will deputise for the Pharmaceutical Service Manager and will be central to the effective delivery of a team's business area objectives.


As a key member of the business delivery area the jobholder will be required to demonstrate well-developed tactical and operational skills in order to effectively lead teams in the championing of new services. You will be responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of new services, developing proposals to meet the needs of new customers to the FPS Pharmaceutical Service Area and will support the embedding of internal and external customer-facing service improvements, working closely with key senior stakeholders in the health and social care arena.

KEY RESULTS AREAS
Service Delivery


* Ensure the development of, and lead on, innovative and effective systems and procedures to ensure that FPS Pharmaceutical department is entirely customer-orientated, providing a centre of excellence for customers.


* Contribute to the operational day to day management of all directly managed business, payment and internal/external customer-facing payment systems within the FPS Pharmaceutical department.


* Identifies key development areas for FPS based on customer demand, service performance and external benchmarking


* Contribute to the development of strategies, policies and initiatives to sustain the continuous improvement of all services provided by the FPS Pharmaceutical department.


* Contributes to the maintenance of quality, productivity, and training standards as defined

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

1a. Degree of Professional qualification in the area of Business or Finance

AND


have worked for at least two years in a Payment or Finance environment, one of which should be at management level*

OR


1b. have worked for at least five years in a Payment or Finance environment, one of which should be at management level*
* Management level is defined as those applicants who are Band 5 or above

Experience

A minimum of one year's demonstratable experience of managing/leading teams at a management level * within a Payment or Finance setting, to deliver results within a target driven environment
