We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources/Organisational Development (HR/OD) Assistant to join our team in Belfast. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality HR support services, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and legislation while maintaining excellent customer service standards
Location: Belfast
Rate: £12.31 per hour
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. HR/OD Helpdesk
- Log all queries received via phone or email in line with agreed procedures.
- Respond to, signpost, or escalate queries within agreed KPIs.
- Communicate courteously and effectively with all users of the HR/OD Helpdesk.
2. Functional Responsibilities
- Provide advice to managers and staff on routine HR/OD issues in line with policy and protocol.
- Deliver accurate and timely administrative processes within agreed KPIs.
- Prepare and issue template correspondence to a high standard.
- Maintain and update electronic/manual workforce files securely.
- Organise HR/OD-related hearings and meetings, including preparing paperwork.
- Input and process data on HRPTS and other HR systems accurately.
- Provide administrative support to HR/OD meetings, including minute-taking.
- Assist with collation and presentation of HR/OD data.
- Maintain adequate stationery supplies and order replacements as needed.
3. General Responsibilities
- Adhere to HR/OD procedures and quality standards.
- Participate in Directorate meetings and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
- Provide administrative cover across the Directorate when required.
4. Communication & Collaboration
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Deliver a proactive, responsive, and professional HR service aligned with Trust values.
Essential Criteria
Qualifications:
- 5 GCSEs (Grade A-C) including English Language OR
- NVQ Level 2 in Administration/Customer Service plus GCSE English Language OR
- GCSE English Language plus 2 years' administrative/customer service experience.
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year administrative/customer service experience at Band 2 or equivalent.
- 6 months' experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
