Job Title: Data Processing & Analysis Officer
Location: NIFRS Headquarters, Lisburn
Pay Rate: £16.68 per hour
Hours: 36.25 per week
Contract: Up to 6 months (possible extension)

About the Role
Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) is seeking a Data Processing & Analysis Officer to join our Corporate Governance & Improvement Directorate. This role is key to delivering accurate, timely, and professional data processing and analysis services, supporting operational performance and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Process, cleanse, and analyse complex datasets from multiple sources.
- Conduct geospatial analysis and develop methodologies for data reporting.
- Support internal and external information requests, ensuring compliance with UK GDPR and Data Governance standards.
- Assist in developing digital dashboards, performance reports, and data warehouse systems.
- Provide guidance and training on data analysis to internal stakeholders.
Essential Criteria
- Level 4 qualification (e.g., Degree or HND) with a research/statistical element OR Level 3 qualification with 2 years' relevant experience.
- At least one year's experience in a statistical analysis/research environment.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and data analysis processes.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Full, current UK driving licence (Category B).
Desirable: Experience with GIS, large datasets, and public sector work
