JOB SUMMARY

The post-holder will be part of the Comunications Team and will play a key role in delivering a high quality communications service to the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority.

The post-holder will offer guidance to service users, patients, members of the general public and whistleblowers from health and social care, using access to a range of multi-professional services across the organisation. This will include receiving, collating and reviewing intelligence and responding to stakeholders who engage with RQIA which will also help inform RQIA's regulatory role and will be part of RQIA's 'Front of House' Service.

The Office of the Chair and Chief Executive has various other functions, including:

  • Support to the Chair and Chief Executive;
  • Support to the Authority and the Executive Management Team;
  • Involvement and Communications;
  • Complaints Management; and
  • Management of Freedom of Information and Subject Access Requests.

The post-holder will be required to provide administrative support across these functions.

KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Responding to incoming calls received into RQIA, collating, recording and storing information on RQIA's systems.
  1. Providing timely and accurate guidance and information to address the caller's needs.
  1. Sharing information with, and directing requests, to appropriate staff across the various Teams in RQIA.

Escalate further action, areas of concern, safeguarding, child protection that may pose a risk to those who use the services which RQIA inspects and reviews

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

.

GCSE Maths and GCSE English (A-C) OR equivalent qualification to demonstrate literacy and numeracy OR higher qualification

AND

2 x A Levels or equivalent qualification OR higher qualification

AND

18 months' relevant experience in a communication / digital communication setting within health and social care.

A minimum of 3 years experience in a communication / digital communication setting within health and social care
