Catering Assistant <ul><li>Antrim</li><li>£12.31 per hour</li><li></li></ul>JOB SUMMARY:To assist the cook in an effective and efficient manner to provide meals and snacks for residents. To maintain the kitchen, dining room and stores to a high level of cleanliness and adhere to all policies and procedures. KEY RESULT AREAS / MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>To be responsible for the general cleaning duties in the kitchen, dining room and associated areas including vending machines.</li><li>To assist with food service and plate food to clients and staff and to replenish food supplies as necessary.</li><li>To assist in the preparation of vegetables, fruits, salads and beverages in accordance with departmental food safety procedures.</li></ul>To ensure the correct food safety procedures are followed with regard to receipt, storage, regeneration and temperature control of all meals (including cook/freeze or cook/chill).ESSENTIAL CRITERIA<ul><li>Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and follow written instructions</li><li>Basic numeracy &amp; literacy skills</li><li>Ability to use own initiative</li><li>Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member</li><li>Ability to cope with difficult situations in a calm and professional manner as part of a team in a patient/user focused environment</li><li>Understanding of the importance of confidentiality in the work place</li></ul>Knowledge<ul><li>Knowledge of the role of a Catering Assistant</li><li>Knowledge of Health and Safety</li></ul>To apply send cv via link
