Nutts Corner Belfast -Onsite- Fulltime Main Duties/Responsibilities <ol><li>Deliver key IT responsibilities</li></ol><ul><li>Plan and carry out work to meet the organisation's IT needs.</li><li>Manage external IT support contracts for systems and hardware.</li><li>Handle internal IT help desk queries and provide regular updates.</li><li>Lead IT projects that improve how the organisation works.</li><li>Develop long-term IT proposals and assess their suitability for future projects.</li><li>Provide short training sessions to help staff improve their IT skills.</li><li>Manage IT budget areas and ensure spending is tracked.</li><li>Prepare purchase requests and business cases when needed.</li></ul> <ol start="2"><li>Communicate effectively</li></ol><ul><li>Share ideas and proposals clearly in writing, in person, and through presentations - whether speaking to individuals or groups at any level.</li></ul> <ol start="3"><li>Build and manage partnerships<ul><li>Negotiate agreements with partners to deliver services.</li><li>Monitor how well partners perform and make sure services meet expectations.</li></ul></li></ol> <ol start="4"><li>Plan and deliver role responsibilities</li></ol><ul><li>Create and follow plans to make sure all duties linked to the role are completed successfully.</li></ul> <ol start="5"><li>Track project progress<ul><li>Monitor how projects are progressing and take action if things go off track.</li></ul></li></ol> <ol start="6"><li>Manage project budgets</li></ol><ul><li>Set and oversee project budgets and report on how funds are used.</li></ul> <ol start="7"><li>Support strategic planning</li></ol><ul><li>Help the Director develop and manage the organisation's strategy, operational plans, budgets, and performance measures.</li></ul> <ol start="8"><li>Stay up to date</li></ol><ul><li>Keep your management skills current and stay informed about developments in the industry and in project management.</li></ul> Essential Criteria: Qualifications &amp; Experience<ul><li>Level 4 or equivalent qualification in Business, IT Management, or a related discipline and a minimum 1 years' experience providing IT support.</li></ul>Or<ul><li>3 years experience managing IT support.</li></ul>AND<ul><li>Proven experience in managing third-party IT service providers and contracts</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage internal IT support/help desk functions</li></ul> Skills &amp; Competencies<ul><li>Excellent project management skills, including planning, delivery, and evaluation</li><li>Excellent written, oral, and visual communication skills,</li><li>Proficiency in using project management and collaboration tools</li><li>Ability to monitor performance and take corrective action to meet objectives</li></ul> Interpersonal &amp; Organisational<ul><li>Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments</li><li>High level of organisational and time management skills</li><li>Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry trends</li></ul> Desirable Criteria: <ul><li>Experience in drafting and managing budgets and procurement processes</li><li>Experience in developing and implementing strategic and operational plans</li><li>Experience in developing and delivering staff IT training interventions</li><li>Experience in evaluating long-term IT proposals and digital transformation initiatives</li><li>Understanding of public sector governance and funding mechanisms</li></ul> Personal commitments:This role is office based at our training centre at Nutts Corner
