JOB SUMMARY:
The post holder will play an important role in supporting the work of the people and organisational development team to develop and deliver new HR processes whilst ensuring compliance with best practice. This will include development and implementation of the new Placement Activity processes within BHSCT.
The post holder will be integral to supporting new HR management processes and will be required to liaise with key stakeholders including management teams, medical education teams, universities and other key stakeholders throughout the HSC.
KEY RESULT AREAS / MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Have a central role in co-ordinating stakeholder engagement, liaising with multi professional/cross service teams, collating documents and managing recording of information.
- Assist the HR Manager in devising methods to capture, transcribe and collate key information following engagement with stakeholders.
- Assist in the development of HR Project Support Documents, for example Risk log, Issue Log, Project Plan, etc.
- Co-ordinating actions and raising any issues with the HR Manager.
- Work with the HR Manager to develop robust information systems that will support the project. This includes being responsible for maintaining the integrity of data and undertaking regular quality assurance exercises.
- Assist with process mapping exercises as required. This includes developing activity modelling templates, populating these with the information received from stakeholders and performing quality assurance exercises if/when needed.
- Support the HR Manager in co-ordinating and maintaining action plans.
- Support the development of and maintain communication channels with managers within the Trusts, and other outside bodies on all matters relating to the project.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders including management, staff, trade unions and the wider HROD teams.
- Work to agreed timescales and ensure quality standards are maintained at all times.
- Ensure effective promotion and dissemination of new HR processes and initiatives though appropriate communication channels.
- Support the marketing and communication activities associated with promoting in-house People and Organisational Development projects and/or programmes.
- Maintain stocks and supplies associated with project.
People Management and Development
- To deputise for the HR Manager in his/her absence.
- To participate in the Trust Personal Contribution Framework.

- To maintain good staff relationships and morale amongst staff reporting to him/her, through effective feedback recognition, appraisal and development.

- To participate as required in the selection and appointment of staff reporting to him/her in accordance with procedures laid down by the Trust.
- To promote the Trust's policies on Equality of Opportunity and the promotion of good relations, through his/her actions and to ensure that these policies are adhered to by staff whom he/she has a responsibility.
- To contribute to the Trust overall corporate and integrated governance processes to ensure its compliance with HSC values and codes of conduct, operations and accountability.
Experience & Qualifications/ Registration | A relevant professional/3rd level qualification or equivalent and have 1 years' experience in an administrative role at a minimum Band 4 level. OR HCN/HND in a relevant discipline and have 2 years' experience in an administrative role at a minimum Band 4 level. OR 4 years' experience in an administrative role at a minimum Band 4 level.

Skills / Abilities | Excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications in particular Word and Excel*
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills including report writing skills*
The application of analytical/problem solving skills, with the ability to identify solutions to problems and implement them effectively**
