<h3><strong>Job Opportunity: Band 3 Finance Officer (Financial Accounts)</strong></h3><p><br /> <strong>Location:</strong> Antrim Area Hospital or Greenmount House, Ballymena<br /> <strong>Duration:</strong> Tem ongoing <br /><strong>Rate of Pay £12.31 per hour </strong></p><hr /><h4><strong>About the Role</strong></h4><p>We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented <strong>Finance Officer</strong> to support the Financial Accounts team within NHSCT. The successful candidate may be placed at either <strong>Antrim Hospital Cash Office</strong> or <strong>Finance Department, Greenmount House Ballymena</strong>, depending on operational needs.</p><p>This Band 3 role involves assisting with the day-to-day operations of financial functions including Charitable Trust Funds, Patient's Private Property, petty cash, travel expenses, and financial reconciliations.</p><hr /><h4><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h4><ul><li>Maintain petty cash and catering department floats.</li><li>Process patient travel expenses and liaise with relevant departments.</li><li>Manage Safe Register and controlled stationery.</li><li>Handle remittance advice forms and correspondence for discharged/deceased clients.</li><li>Liaise with external bodies and internal staff regarding financial affairs.</li><li>Assist with receipts, payments, reconciliations, and system uploads.</li><li>Support year-end processes and audit preparation.</li><li>Contribute to financial reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.</li></ul><hr /><h4><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></h4><ul><li><strong>Experience:</strong> Minimum 1 year relevant finance experience<br /> <em>OR</em><ul><li><strong>Qualifications:</strong> AS Level in Business/Finance or equivalent (QCF Level 3)</li></ul></li><li><strong>Other:</strong> Full UK driving licence and access to a car (unless exempt due to disability)</li></ul><hr /><h4><strong>Skills &amp; Knowledge</strong></h4><ul><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel</li><li>Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines</li><li>Analytical skills to interpret financial data</li><li>Understanding of NHSCT structure and finance issues in Health and Social Care</li></ul><p> </p>
