📚 Job Opportunity: Part-Time Library Assistant - Portglenone 📚We are currently seeking a temporary, ongoing part-time Library Assistant for our public sector client based in Portglenone Library. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a community-focused environment.📍 Location: Portglenone Library, 19 Townhill Road, Portglenone, BT44 8AD🕒 Hours of Work (10 hours/week):<ul><li>Tuesday: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM</li><li>Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM</li><li>Thursday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM (30-minute lunch break)</li></ul>💷 Rate of Pay: £13.21 per hour📝 Duties Include:<ul><li>Handling client queries using print and electronic resources</li><li>Registering clients and explaining library services</li><li>Enforcing library rules and regulations</li><li>Delivering services that support learning, leisure, and cultural needs of the local community</li></ul>✅ Essential Criteria:<ul><li>5 GCSEs including English Language and Maths (Grade C or equivalent)</li><li>Minimum 1 year's experience in a face-to-face public service role</li><li>Experience working with young children and elderly people</li><li>Proficient in using ICT to access and manage information</li><li>Must hold an Enhanced AccessNI clearance (Child's Barring List)</li></ul>📌 Additional Info: The successful candidate may be required to work alone.
