To participate in 7 day working and extended working day. JOB SPECIFICATION for Locum MRI Radiographer <ul><li>Degree or diploma in Radiography.</li></ul><ul><li>Current HCPC Registration. </li><li>At least 2 years post qualification experience in Diagnostic Radiography</li><li>1 years experience in MRI</li><li>MRI experience working with GE Optima 450W 1.5T and Siemens Sola scanners</li><li>MRI PGCert desirable</li><li>PGCert or equivalent in IV cannulation</li><li>Participate in flexible working sessions including evenings and weekends &amp; BH's throughout the Northern Trust</li><li>Good communicative skills.</li><li>Knowledge of role of Radiographer in MRI Imaging.</li><li>Knowledge of MR Safety</li><li>Access NI check required</li><li>Good general health for the demands of the post</li><li>To be familiar with and abide by:</li></ul><ul><li>Health &amp; Safety at work order 1978</li><li>COSHH Regulations.</li><li>Ionising Radiation Regulations</li><li>All present and future departmental quality standards.</li><li>Departmental local rules and policies/procedures</li><li>MHRA safety guidelines for MR equipment in clinical use.</li></ul><ul><ul><li> The SOR and HPC codes of professional conduct for Radiographers</li><li> To work within the rules and regulations applicable to the department</li><li> To follow all Trust policies and protocols</li></ul></ul> GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIESEmployees of the Trust will be required to promote and support the mission and vision of the service for which they are responsible and:-<ul><li>At all times provide a caring service and to treat those with whom they come into contact in a courteous and respectful manner</li></ul> <ul><li>At all times demonstrate practice the HSC values of Working Together, Excellence, Openness &amp; Honesty and Compassion</li></ul> <ul><li>Carry out their duties and responsibilities in a manner which assures patient and client safety</li></ul> <ul><li>Comply with all instructions in regard to Infection Prevention and Control</li></ul> <ul><li>Demonstrate their commitment by their regular attendance and the efficient completion of all tasks allocated to them</li></ul> <ul><li>Comply with the Trust's Smoke Free Policy</li></ul> <ul><li>Carry out their duties and responsibilities in compliance with health and safety policy and statutory regulations</li><li>Adhere to equal opportunities policy throughout the course of their employment</li></ul> <ul><li>Ensure the ongoing confidence of the public in service provision</li></ul> <ul><li>Adhere to the Code of Conduct for HSC Employees which aims to guide staff, managers and employers in the work that they do and the decisions and choices they have to make. Professional staff are expected to follow the code of conduct for their own professions as well as this code.</li><li>Maintaining a high standard of personal work whilst acting as a member of a team</li></ul> <ul><li>Advise and assist staff of a more junior grade by providing advice based on knowledge and experience within the MRI team.</li></ul> <ul><li>Undertaking MRI scanning in Antrim Hospital or any other hospital in the Northern Trust if required</li></ul> <ul><li>Ability to liaise with relevant individuals and groups and establish good working relationships which support continual quality initiatives</li></ul> <ul><li>Ensure that personal quality of work is evaluated against performance and departmental quality standards</li></ul> <ul><li>The SOR and HPC codes of professional conduct for Radiographers</li></ul> <ul><li>Ensuring that equipment is properly maintained, reporting any deficiencies, malfunctions, defects or occurrence which may affect safety to the Radiographer in Charge</li></ul> <ul><li>Maintaining a high standard of patient care with particular regard to MRI safety.</li></ul> <ul><li>Acting as a Professional in treating each patient as an individual in terms of courtesy, kindness, sympathy and confidentiality.</li></ul> <ul><li>Any other duties or responsibilities appropriate to the grade as directed by the Departmental Manager</li></ul>
