Farm Unit Admin Officer

🔹 Rate of pay: £13.75 oer hour

🔹 Location: Hillsborough
🔹 Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week (plus overtime if required)

🔹 Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Admin Officer to join the Research Farmed Estates team at Hillsborough in a temporary ongoing basis. This role involves supporting the operational and administrative functions of the farm unit, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across a range of duties.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Reconciliation of invoices (feed bills, hauliers, veterinary services)
• Ordering and managing medicines, PPE, and animal tags
• Registration and certification of animals, including pedigree and accreditation platforms
• Managing BVD sampling, TB testing, and reporting of positive test results
• Liaising with waste management and acting as Farm Unit Waste Champion
• Maintaining internal systems (Cora time, Agriwebb, soil nutrient records)
• Supporting the Nutrient Management Plan and Farm KPIs
• General administrative support including minute-taking and data input

🔹 Essential Criteria:

• 5 GCSEs including Science, Maths, and English Language (Grades A*-C or equivalent)
• Minimum of 6 months relevant experience in an administrative role

🔹 Desirable:

• Knowledge or experience in agriculture or farm operations
