ICT TechnicianBelfast BT837.5 hours a week Job Summary: The post holder will be responsible for the support and delivery of an extensive range of Information Technology (IT) Systems within NIAS. As a member of the IT Team, he/she will provide support and assistance for the implementation, operation and improvement of the Trust's IT Systems and Services.The Post Holder will be a member of a team that is responsible, through the Trusts ICT Manager, for the, managing and resolving incidents as they arise on the Trusts ICT Infrastructure, ICT Systems, remote access solutions and telephone systems. KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES <ol><li>In conjunction with the IT Manager and Assistant Director ICT, develop and implement the Trust's IT strategy and related policies in conjunction, to ensure the delivery of effective and efficient IT and Radio/Telephony Services to allow the Trust to achieve its objectives."</li></ol> <ol><li>Provide end user support and undertake complex fault diagnosis and resolution for the full range of IT Systems within NIAS ensuring that assigned faults are managed in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.</li></ol> <ol><li>Undertake routine maintenance and fault analysis, diagnosis and resolution for the full range of IT and Telephony Services in use within NIAS</li></ol> <ol><li>Provide Primary Frontline support for all of the Hardware and Software used by both of the Trust's Control Rooms and all associated services;</li></ol> <ol><li>Maintain and develop Active Directory and Email accounts across NIAS as directed by ICT Manager.</li></ol> <ol><li>Maintain and develop the AVAYA VOIP telephone System and all associated hardware as directed by ICT Manager.</li></ol>ESSENTIAL CRITERIACriteria University Degree or a recognised equivalent professional qualification in an Information Communication and Technology (ICT) discipline and a minimum of 1 years' experience in the installation and support of the full range of network based computer equipment, such as personal computers, printers and data switches ORHND or recognised equivalent professional qualification in an Information Communication Technology (ICT) discipline and a minimum of 2 years' experience in the installation and support of the full range of network based computer equipment, such as personal computers, printers and data switches OR A minimum of 4 years' experience in the installation and support of the full range of network based computer equipment, such as personal computers, printers and data switches.Experience <ol><li>Working knowledge and experience of Microsoft desktop application software and Windows operating systems.</li></ol> <ol start="2"><li>Practical experience of administrating and supporting an IT Network, including the troubleshooting and configuration of devices such as Hubs, Switches and Routers</li></ol> <ol start="3"><li>Hold a current full driving licence and/or * have access to a form of transport which will permit the applicant to meet the post requirements in full.</li></ol>*Relates to any individual who has declared that they have a disability, which debars them from driving. <ol start="4"><li>Working knowledge and experience of Help Desk Management Systems.</li></ol> Working knowledge and experience of Intranet/Internet Portal <ol><li>Systems and Technologies.</li></ol> <ol start="2"><li>Applicants will be required to participate in the IT on call rota.</li></ol> <ol start="3"><li>Must have good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with users at all levels.</li></ol> <ol start="4"><li>Must be capable of clearly interpreting complex technical data and providing detailed advice to both users and commercial suppliers of IT Systems.</li></ol> <ol start="5"><li>Must be capable of working alone and as part of a team.</li></ol>Must be capable of planning and prioritising workload effectivelyQualifications/ RegistrationUniversity Degree or a recognised equivalent professional qualification in an Information Communication and Technology (ICT) discipline and a minimum of 1 years' experienceOtherHold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment. This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Trust which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post
