CT Radiographer
Antrim
Mon-Fri 8.30am-5pm
£18.10 per hour
KEY RESULT AREAS / MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Advise and assist staff of a more junior grade by providing advice based on knowledge and experience within the CT team.
Undertaking CT scanning, including mobile CT scanning locations if required.
Ability to liaise with relevant individuals and groups and establish good working relationships which support continuous quality initiatives.
Ensure that personal quality of work is evaluated against performance and departmental quality standards.
Ensuring that equipment is properly maintained, reporting any deficiencies, malfunctions, defects or occurrence which may affect safety to the Radiographer in Charge in accordance with the departmental Protocol.
Maintain the acquisition of optimal quality diagnostic images, ensuring radiation doses are kept as low as reasonably practicable, in accordance with the departmental Protocol.
Ensure the service is patient-focused and respectful of the individual patient, and their specific requirements, in accordance with the Society and College of Radiographers Code of Professional Conduct, by treating each patient as an individual in terms of courtesy, kindness, sympathy and confidentiality
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
At least 2 years' experience in General Diagnostic Radiography.
Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.
Current Radiographer HCPC Registration.
Qualification in IV cannulation or willing to train.
PgCert/Diploma in CT or willing to train.
Other
Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment. This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Trust which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post.
