Position: Conservator F
Pay Rate: £31,649 (This will be paid at a hourly rate)
Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week
Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Belfast
Length of Contract: Until March with possible extension

Hours of Work: 9 to 5 Monday to Friday
Job Duties:
- Interventive Conservator for project support.
- Research, document and complete interventive treatment on archival collections at the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland under the supervision of the conservation manager.
- To support work carried out by a conservation manager to scope photographic/film collections and support engagement activities around USA250 celebrations.
- Support the digitisation team with the imaging of collections.
Essential Criteria:
- MA in a practical conservation course or equivalent workplace training.
- Experience of evaluating conservation damage and risks. Successful completion of treatments and documentation according to ICON Professional Standards or ICRI Code of Conduct on paper-based collections, books or film.
- Understanding of preventive conservation and passive measures to lower the rate of deterioration
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience of working with large archive collections.
