Library Assistant - Cookstown

We are currently seeking a part-time temporary ongoing part-time Library assistant for our Client based in Cookstown Library . This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with a public sector body. STARTING ASAP, Working on a 2 week rota basis

Hours of work: 16.25 hours
Temporary

Week 1 : Tuesday 4pm - 7pm, Thursday 10am - 5pm, Saturday 10am - 4PM

Week 2: Tuesday 10am - 2pm, Thursday 10am - 5.30pm, Friday 10am - 5pm

Rate of pay is £13.21 per hour. Saturday pay rate £19.82 per hour

Duties include:

• Handling client queries using print & electronic resources
• Registering clients
• Introducing and explaining library services, rules and regulations
• Provide all library services to meet the learning , information, leisure and cultural needs of the local community.

Essential Criteria:

• Must have 5 GCSE's including English language and Maths grade C or equivalent
• 1 years experience providing face to face service with the public.
• Experience working with young children and elderly people
• Experience using ICT for accessing, selecting and using information
