Blue Arrow is currently recruiting a Muti Skilled Engineer to join our clients expanding team based in the Baglan area. Our client is a Global leader in Water and Hygiene. Salary: 45,000pa (36k + 25% SA) Contract: This is a temporary, ongoing position with a view to become permanent providing candidates meet the performance and job spec criteria. Shift Pattern: 3 shift patterns rotating weekly Mornings: Mon-Fri, 6am-2pm, Afternoons: Mon-Fri, 2pm-10pm, Nights: Sun-Thurs, 10pm-6am Job Purpose: To provide high-quality engineering support to the production and operations teams by maintaining, improving, and repairing equipment to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be a multi-skilled engineer with strong mechanical and electrical competencies and proven experience in a fast-paced FMCG environment. Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Perform planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on a wide range of production and packaging machinery.</li><li>Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and automation faults.</li><li>Participate in continuous improvement activities, including lean manufacturing initiatives and root cause analysis.</li><li>Support production teams in achieving OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) targets.</li><li>Adhere to and promote site safety, quality, and hygiene standards.</li><li>Assist with equipment installation, commissioning, and upgrades.</li><li>Provide engineering support for project work and process improvement initiatives.</li><li>Work collaboratively with other departments including production, quality, and H&amp;S.</li></ul>Skills &amp; Experience Required:<ul><li>Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering).</li><li>Proven experience in a similar multi-skilled engineering role within an FMCG or similar fast-paced environment.</li><li>Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Proficient in both mechanical and electrical fault finding and repair.</li><li>Experience with PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, and automated systems is desirable.</li><li>Excellent communication and team-working skills.</li><li>Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.</li></ul>Desirable:<ul><li>Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).</li><li>Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and other food safety standards (if applicable).</li></ul>If you feel you have the right experience for this role, please submit your CV for immediate response.Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.

Our client is a global manufacturing leader in their industry and is offering great progression opportunities to grow with the company. Rate of pay: £16.81ph including shift allowance. (overtime available at higher rates) Hours of work: Full time: 12 hour shifts 6.30-6.30 with a mixture of days and nights. 4 week rota: One week you will work 5 shifts and the next week 2 shifts and so on.  Rate of pay: &pound;12.21ph Hours of work: Full time: Monday to Fridays: 5pm-4.30am. Overtime available on Sundays. Contract: Temporary ongoing long term work
 Duties:-

<li>Picking commercial/domestic waste from a recycling/production line</li>
<li>Machine operating</li>
<li>Checking quality of work</li>
<li>Some manual handling duties</li>
<li>Maintaining a clean and safe working environment</li>
</ul>
 This position involves being on your feet for the duration of the shift.
 No previous experience required as full training given. Ideally you will drive due to the location.
