1. Initial Discussion
All applicants will be invited to a face-to-face meeting. This is your opportunity to:
- Learn more about the role
- Ask any questions you may have
- Share your work history, skills, and attributes
We want to ensure the role is a good fit for you, and that you’re a good fit for Harrison Catering.
2. Compliance and Background Checks
To ensure we meet our clients’ standards and handle sensitive data responsibly, we conduct a series of compliance checks. This stage is known as interim clearance and includes:
- Completed Blue Arrow application form
- Proof of right to work in the UK
- National Insurance number
- Proof of ID and address
- Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) or Disclosure Scotland check
- 2 references for each flexible employee. Carried out for the last two years employment history, using the most recent employers as referees.
- Verification of professional qualifications (if required)
- Explanation for any employment gaps over 30 days
Criminal Convictions check of any unspent criminal convictions
Additional client-specific checks may also be required depending on the role.
3. Preparing Your Documents
To help speed up the process, please gather the following documents in advance:
- Valid ID (e.g., passport or driving licence)
- Proof of address (e.g., utility bill or bank statement)
- Right to work documentation
- National Insurance number
- Address history for the past 3 years
- Full work history with explanations for any employment gaps
- Contact details for references
