You’ll allocate workloads, brief the team at the start of the shift, and monitor performance throughout the day. This includes checking productivity rates, reviewing accuracy reports, and resolving problems that may slow down the flow of goods.
You’ll also act as a key link between your team and the wider warehouse operation, feeding information to inventory teams, shift managers, transport teams, and customer service where needed. When discrepancies arise, you’ll help identify root causes, escalate issues to supervisors or managers, and ensure that corrective actions are followed through.
Compliance, safety, and audit readiness play a big part in the role. You’ll make sure that all stock probes, counts, checks, and system updates are completed correctly and in line with site processes.
