In the kitchen, for instance, Commis Chefs have seen their wages heat up by an incredible 16.8% from last year, from £16,554 per annum in 2016 to £17,773 in 2017. This has been the largest salary boost to have occurred within the industry for many months, signalling that the British summer has had a positive effect on the hospitality and catering sector.
