Sous Chef - Fresh food led Gastro Pub - Hurst - £25k

The role:
A Sous Chef is required for a fresh food led gastro pub/restaurant in the beautiful location of Hurstpierpoint village. Successful candidate will prepare modern British food with a sprinkling of French using the best locally sourced sustainable produce from land and sea. You will be required to work mainly on a straight shift bases, 4.5 days a week, catering for a weekly changing menu and functions.


Your main responsibilities as Sous Chef - Hurstpierpoint:
  • Assisting the Head Chef in running the kitchen, deputising in his absence
  • Assisting in creating new menus and introducing them to the team
  • Producing dishes to meet the required standards
  • Ensuring food safety and health and hygiene
  • Supervising the other Chefs in the kitchen

What you need to get the job - Sous Chef - Hurstpierpoint:
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 1 and 2 or Equivalent
  • Experience cooking with fresh produce and to a high standard
  • Desire to take the operation to the next level and be recognised
  • Enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn and progress

The Reward - Sous Chef - Hurstpierpoint:
  • Working mainly on straight shifts
  • 4.5 days a week (half of Sunday off)
  • Annual salary of £24,000 - £25,000 + tips
