The role:

Beautifully kept Country Pub with a well-known reputation for real home cooked food, real ales and friendly, genuine hospitality. Based on the outskirts of Brighton we are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join the brigade. You will have an opportunity to learn new skills and enhance your knowledge in Hospitality & Catering industry, working with professional and cheerful team.

There is live-in accommodation available if required.


Your main responsibilities as Kitchen Porter will include:
  • Removing and recycling waste from the kitchen
  • Assisting with carrying out deep cleaning when required
  • Assisting Chefs with ingredients preparation when required
  • Maintain a high standard of hygiene in the kitchen including equipment and extractor fans
  • Collecting and washing pots, pans, plates and cutlery and returning them back into use quickly

What you need to get the job as a Kitchen Porter:
  • To carry out tasks quickly
  • The ability to work on your own and use your initiative
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and follow instructions
  • Willingness to learn and develop your skills
  • Own transport or cycling is essential due to a rural location
