Blue Arrow are currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager to work in a market leader in their industry.

Through the application of best in class engineering standards and maintenance tools, and the development of a well-trained, motivated and committed Maintenance Team, maximise equipment operating efficiencies, and ensure that all buildings, facilities, plant and equipment are fit for purpose and comply with all relevant regulatory standards.

You will also support the Company's strategic agenda by designing, specifying, installing and commissioning plant and equipment to provide new or improved product and/or process capability to enable the introduction of new products or the manufacture of existing products at lower cost.

This is key role in the management, the environment is demanding and fast-paced with conflicting priorities.  The job-holder has multiple interfaces with key stakeholders at all levels in the organisation which is going through significant change. The job holder is the Company's "engineering expert" and must work closely iwth colleagues across all functions and at all levels to deliver cost effective engineering solutions.

Key Accountability's:-
Lead and manage the Maintenance Team to deliver a best in class maintenance service.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, H&S standards and Quality and GMP standards. In particular, ensure that all equipment is safe to use and that all engineering staff and contractors operate in a safe manner
Ensure that breakdowns are responded to quickly and are managed effectively to drive down/minimise engineering downtime and maximise equipment availability/up-time.
Develop a comprehensive maintenance strategy and asset care programme to maximise equipment performance and life. Ensure that the planned preventive maintenance is robust and executed effectively.

HNC or equivalent in engineering is essential.  Degree or equivalent in electrical engineering is desirable.  Several years experience in production engineering and maintenance management in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
