We are looking to recruit an Optical Assembly Operator to work with a market leader in their field, based in Livingston you will be working in a state of the art production facility
Applicants should have a good understanding of precision mechanical assembly, previous experience in optical alignment and working in a controlled environment would be preferential.
The role is to ensure the accurate and timely build of their products, it will involve the alignment and testing of high end, precision components and the calibration of instrumentation. The role will involve working to tight deadlines and following strict quality control practices. It is expected you will take ownership of the product by maintaining product documentation, liaising with their development team to discuss improvements and both making and implementing suggestions to improve product and the manufacturing process.
Must have previous assembly experience and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and the use of basic production equipment
Demonstrable working experience in assembly coupled with systematic and thoughtful approach
PC literate and proficient knowledge of MS Excel and Word packages
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Work well within a team
Confident to work using your own initiative with a proactive approach
You will work 37.5 hour per week, the company do operate a flexible working week.
