Are you looking for a new contract opportunity? Do you want to work for a global organisation? 

If so then we may have the perfect opportunity for you as a Credit Controller. Joining a friendly and dynamic team that is responsible for managing a diverse customer base, ensuring debt is minimised and to maximise cash collection. You will build customer relationships and be the point of contact for Collection activity as well as developing strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business.

 


  • As a Credit Controller you will achieve /exceed monthly cash collection and aged debt targets, taking accountability to notify the Credit Manager in advance of any circumstances that may impact target achievement.
  • Accountable for end to end management of strategic accounts.
  • Work as part of the team in a positive manner, work to achieve team goals and objectives highlighting any challenges to the credit manager.

The Wythenshawe Head Office of this global telecommunications organisation is based centrally in Wythenshawe and is easily accessible by all public transport routes including tram, bus and train. Alternatively there is free parking on site for those who drive. Also located around the site are places to eat and a large retail park.

The recruitment process is swift as you would expect. It is important that customers know that the people handling their enquiries can be trusted with sensitive and personal data and so a vetting process for candidates is in place. Part of this is ensuring that candidates have a clear credit and criminal record.

Once you have passed this vetting process you have the chance to join the team and get started. The proposed start date is 30th January 2019.

Being a Credit Controller:

 

 


  • Work independently and as part of a wider team to manage daily workloads ensuring that all key customers and stakeholders are communicated to and debt ledger is worked in a timely and effective manner 
  • Communicate and work with other areas of the business
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture
  • Identify process and contractual failures and drive solutions with customers where said failures leads to non-payment
  • Provide timely and suitable escalation where customers or internal stakeholders do not adhere to agreed actions.

 



Role Focused Skills

 

 


  • Good knowledge of systems and ability to use Microsoft Excel up to Intermediate/Advanced level, Word and Outlook.
  • Experience of managing large  customers
  • Proven track record in demonstrating accountability and ownership; proactive approach
  • Experience of implementing change in a fast paced environment

  • Previous experience of delivering commercial credit and collections activity or delivering targets through a customer facing operation.


  • Able to make clear decisions and execute.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels


  • Excellent negotiation skills


  • Excellent organisational and time management skills


  • Excellent Excel skills


  • PC literacy including Word and PowerPoint


  • Management Information and other data analysis ability


  • Excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail
