We are one of the most popular Universities in the country and our Facilities teams play a major role in enhancing the student experience.

  
As part of the estate capital programme this university has a superb development of student accommodation which, delivering 1171bedrooms for student occupation, The residences offer a mixture of en-suite cluster flats and four storey townhouses with large communal living and kitchen areas and private gardens.

The vision for Residential Services is to provide an excellent student residential experience; by developing a student-led approach to community and welfare, supported by best in sector security, welfare and facilities management.  This is an exciting new role and the post holder will be a pivotal member of the Residential Services team in delivering this vision.

  
As part of a department that is evolving, striving for excellence and with a focus on continuous improvement, you will also play a collaborative role in the development and implementation of standardised working practices across the wider Residential Services department.

The role of the Residential Duty Manager will be to support the Residential Facilities Management of the halls. You will manage the day-to-day operational provision of facilities services including basic maintenance and repairs, cleaning,  reception and portering within the Halls of Residence.

 
You will be required to adapt a flexible approach to enable the Residential Team to deliver a high quality customer focused service. You will be required to assist in the management of resources to ensure that the services budget is met and possibly exceeded. 

 
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a wide range of skills and experience. You will be an individual who has proven people management experience, is truly customer focused and who embraces change. Experience of a supervisory role, preferably within a residential setting or a customer-focussed environment, is essential to success in this role.

Wednesday: 07:00 - 14:30
Thursday: 07:00 - 14:30
Friday: 08:00 - 15:30
Saturday: Off
Sunday: Off
