IT Helpdesk/Service Desk Telephony Analysts- Pudsey (£8.75 per hour)

Blue Arrow are currently recruiting experienced IT Service Desk Telephony Analysts to work for our client who is a leading bank in the UK. The IT Service Desk Telephony Support Analysts will be based in Pudsey. This is a temporary position for minimum duration of 12 months and it is due to start on 17 December 2018 for the successful candidates subject to passing vetting.  The right candidate will have experience in 1st Line IT Support or related experience or training. You will need to have a clean criminal record, clear credit check and be able to provide references for the last 5 years. You will work 5 days a week, Monday to Friday between 07:00a.m -7:00pm for 35 hours a week. There may be an occasional Saturday required once in 6 weeks. The rate of pay will be £8.75 per hour and you will enjoy additional benefits such as pay progression, payment for unsociable hours, competitive Overtime rates, Flex pay and bonuses for excellent performance. Training will be given for 9-10 weeks and therefore no holidays can be taken during this period. Shortlisted candidates should be available to attend interviews as soon as possible. Main objective of the role

To carry out straight forward and standalone clerical/ support duties in accordance with predetermined procedures and service standards under detailed instruction and supervision for offering IT support.

Key duties and Accountabilities

  • Providing 1st line support to business users across the network using a variety of channels including telephony, online and chats

  • Providing 1st line support to business users across the network

  • Reducing the number of incidents progressing to 2nd line support

  • Remotely accessing users computers

  • Resetting passwords

  • Analysing situations and evaluating problems to come up with the best solution for the business and customer

  • Managing the expectations of customers whilst having an empathetic understanding of their issue

  • Providing training support to users at all levels within the business

  • Providing a friendly yet professional level of customer service

  • Answering calls within a timely manner

  • Handling complaints sensitively and understandingly

  • Working unsupervised to ensure that the businesses service levels agreements are met
