Blue Arrow are currently recruiting on behalf of a a fantastic 4* hotel in the Chesterfield area. This high end hotel is undergoing extensive refurbishment and development which will only enhance the already fantastic offering it provides to its customers.

We are looking for 2x enthusiastic and passionate chef de parties who enjoy the fast pace of working in a kitchen.

Duties and responsibilities

• To be hospitable, polite and positive at all times with all customers with whom you are in contact and fellow colleagues 

• To be punctual at all times

 •  To provide efficient and friendly service to all customers, as in accordance with the standards laid out in your handbook and training

 • To maintain in-depth knowledge of all our products

 • To project a positive attitude at all times, both when customer facing and dealing with colleagues 

• To assist colleagues in their duties where possible promoting a good team ethic 

• To assist in the training of any new staff members 

• To thoroughly familiarise yourself with all current menus and forthcoming promotions, menu changes, specials etc. 

•  To maintain pride in your appearance when on duty, wearing the correct and clean uniform and observing a high level of personal hygiene (including washing hands regularly and as required) To adhere to all food, hygiene, health and safety and licensing legislations, and best practices as instructed by your manager 

•  To attend any relevant courses relating to Food Hygiene and/or Health & Safety as instructed by the manager/Head Chef and in keeping with legislation

 • To ensure stock security at all times 

•  To take responsibility for cleanliness of all places of work, both front and back of house To report any problems, complaints, incidents, accidents or specific customer requests to the manager on duty • To follow management instruction when given

 • To attend any training sessions and meetings as judged reasonably necessary by management

 •  To prepare all hot and cold foods to the consistency and specifications of the hotel To maintain stock par levels, or as otherwise directed, of food items in all prep areas and service sections 

• To maintain any daily/weekly records, such as food and fridge/freezer temperature checks 

• To keep to a minimum, record and notify management of any wastage or spoilage of stock 

• To keep all food preparation areas swept, clean and mopped where necessary at all times 

• To comply with all statutory Food Hygiene and H&S legislation

 • To ensure that all procedures relating to COSHH are adhered to as per the law and company policy and procedure

 •  Not to carry out any tasks or duties that involve equipment or tools in the use of which you have not received relevant training or instruction

 • To complete all daily cleaning duties as per the schedule
