Blue Arrow are currently recruiting for a part time Hospitality Assistant for one of our clients based in Sheffield, a charity that adds quality to the lives of those affected by terminal illnesses of all kinds.

The organisation services and helps over 1,600 patients each year, plus families and carers, in their homes and at one of their specialist center's - all regulated by the CQC.

The hospice is highly valued by those we help, offering high quality care and seeking to innovate to develop better services for more people who need them.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Hospitality Assistants to be a part of their hospitality team.

This role will work within their new centre for people with a terminal illness, we need to ensure we have the right individuals in place to help provide a hospitality service for all visitors and above all ensure that the organisational values are embedded into everything the hospice do.

Our hospitality team provides a hotel and restaurant style service to our patients. St Luke's uses professional staff and demands exceptional standards. We use high quality white linen napkins, crockery and cutlery for all patient service and hotel style room service tray standards are part of our individual patient focused service. The mealtimes are not set and our patients can eat at any time of the day. All our food is locally sourced and is fresh every day. Bread, soups, pasta etc. are made daily and freshly made juices and smoothies are also available throughout the day.

The Hospitality team, you will be responsible for serving meals, snacks and beverages to patients, visitors and staff ensuring that excellent standards of food hygiene are maintained at all times. You will also be responsible for the service of food in the Café to staff, visitors and volunteers, ensuring that tables are cleared and cleaned throughout service. You will also assist in providing hospitality service during internal client based activities, external events and conferencing.

You must have previous experience in a Hospitality role, within a high quality hospitality venue and you must have experience of working within a busy, fast-paced hospitality environment. Confidentiality and the ability to work to high quality standards are essential. You should also have good communication skills, a flexible attitude and be able to work as part of a team.

You should have an NVQ level 2 in Hospitality or equivalent or be willing to work towards this qualification and you must also have a Basic Food Hygiene certificate.

This post within the Hospice will be subject to a DBS disclosure check.

This is an excellent role and offers a basic salary of £9184 per annum based on 22.5 hours per week (3 out of 7 days, Monday-Sunday rota)
