My client are looking for 5 experienced administrators to join the administration team within the HR and Payroll department at their Carlisle site.

If successful you will be offered a 6 month fixed term contract (full-time), with the possibility of the contract being extended after 6 months. This role is 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

Due to the nature of this role, applicants will be required to complete and pass a basic DBS and a basic credit check, as well as to provide 3 years of references.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To work as an integral member of the HR & Payroll Education Team.
  • To support HR and Payroll colleagues within the Education Team to provide a high quality, cost effective HR & Payroll Service.

Specific job responsibilities:

  • As a member the Administration service, ensure at all times that deadlines and the high standards required by Capita HR Solutions are met.
  • To demonstrate a proactive approach to customer service issues whilst seeking innovative solutions to resolve them.
  • Ensure that data is processed in accordance with the following; Timetabled Payroll Deadlines, Legislative Deadlines, Service Level Agreement Specifications
  • Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of Disclosure Barring Service policies, procedures and guidance and provide consistent advice and support to clients based on this knowledge.
  • Process Disclosure applications both paper and electronically accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Prepare, print and issue Contracts of Employment as appropriate, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are adhered to at all times.
  • Operate as first line contact in respect of telephone enquiries, answering incoming calls, logging, filtering and dealing with as appropriate.
  • Other tasks/activities may be assigned to the role dependent on service and business needs.

Skills required:

  • 3 GCSE grade A-C passes or equivalent, including Math and English
  • General administration experience
  • Knowledge of general IT systems and applications including Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Strong focus on attention to detail
