Materials Handler - DAYS Required

The role will be based in the Rocester (ST14) area

Hours:
Monday to Thursday - 7:45am-4:30pm
Friday 8am-12:30pm

£8.95 per hour
Over time is paid at time and a half (paid on hours after 37.5)

The role may be made permanent after the successful candidate completes a satisfactory 12 week probationary period. The client may choose to extend this period.

Essential

  • Must have a driving licence, as part of the role will involve you driving between remote locations and sites.
  • Must be able/willing to travel on own accord to Cambridge and Peterborough for Occupational health assessments and inductions.
  • Must have a medical and drug test before can be offered a start.

Desirable

  • FLT licence would be ideal however not essential - any experience using FLT trucks would be a benefit.
  • You will ideally be customer focused - The client are looking for excellent customer service skills while ensuring all available product is fed to the appropriate department line-side locations.
  • You will ideally have a high level of detail and accuracy
  • You will ideally be self-motivated and use your own initiative to work effectively with minimum supervision.

Duties include (not limited to)

  • The job holder is responsible for a line-side feeding service, as business needs dictate.
  • Receiving incoming product, unloading the vehicle and transfer the product to storage area into relevant locations prior to feeding and sorting.
  • Main objective is to provide excellent customer service, through ensuring all available product is fed to the appropriate line-side location.
  • Act as front line contact to resolve any stock related customer concerns and will be expected to develop excellent working relationships with all personnel
  • Must ensure that all operational systems and procedures are adhered to and comply with any applicable health and safety requirements
  • Be a part of the team, communicate and co-operate at all levels
