Excellent opportunity for a Marketing Executive - B2B to Join our Blue Arrow Marketing team

Location: Capability Green, Luton

Working within a team of 6 reporting the Marketing Manager creating, shaping and owning the client experience with Blue Arrow.

Competitive salary 25-28k, great benefits coupled with onsite parking and café within our Head office.

The successful person will become THE client voice and champion within the business. You will be the expert for all things client related, from attraction to service experience development and retention. An interest in customer lifetime value or membership marketing will play to your strengths in this position.

You will also be keen to develop the business' understanding and use of PR tactics to develop Blue Arrow's market position and a thought-leadership voice.

You will be expected to develop a good understanding of Blue Arrow's market share in its target client sectors and to learn how it can increase its market share.

You will have budget management responsibility and will be working closely with the Marketing Manager, Bids, National Accounts and Client Solutions (Sales) heads of department and senior managers to support the online and offline marketing needs of the client-focused teams.

This role is a critical position within the marketing team offering a busy and diverse workload; touching on a wide range of marketing skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Marketing Manager in all areas of creating and executing online and offline marketing campaigns to drive new business lead generation


  • Proactively uphold the brand guidelines and business values


  • Support bid production with relevant pieces of market and business insight


  • Support client account teams with labour market analysis as and when needed, offer conclusions and interpretation of the data based on a thorough understanding of the industry, business and candidate behaviours


  • Timely promotion and measurement of all relevant whitepapers, seminar events and sector trend reports.


  • Produce sector trend reports


  • Support with content management of the website ensuring B2B related content is always up to date


  • Create, distribute and report on multi-media marketing campaigns.


  • Management and co-ordination of Impellam and Blue Arrow colleagues working across support teams to achieve timely delivery of campaigns and projects


  • Issue of press releases through the press and online


  • Effective marketing support for client attraction/relationship events


  • Proactive management and benefits realisation of trade sponsorships


  • Support non-B2B business projects as defined by the Marketing Manager


  • Ensure you stay up to date with the latest marketing initiatives in the market


  • Work collaboratively with your team, supporting team goals, demonstrating a positive attitude towards others and embracing Blue Arrows promise based culture


  • Establish, develop and maintain excellent working relationships with the Senior Leadership Team and external bodies



Skills and experience:


  • Degree in marketing or suitable alternative e.g. CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing.


  • Solid marketing experience


  • Ideally marketing experience in services oriented companies.


  • Ideally experience of working for brands with a strong customer service ethos and used to working to peak periods of demand for marketing support.


  • Good knowledge of online and offline marketing techniques


  • Customer relationship marketing


  • Good knowledge of using digital marketing for successful outcomes


  • Copywriting, Segmentation, targeting and positioning


  • Campaign and budget management, Public Relations for strategic use e.g. brand positioning


  • Marketing analytics, Market research


  • Analytical skills with the ability to use insight to direct and shape marketing effort and manage the expectations of stakeholders.


  • Excellent IT skills - Excel, PowerPoint, Word and experience of CRM, email marketing and content management systems e.g. Sitecore


  • Ability to work on multiple projects
