Customer focus

multi-tasker you'll also be able to stay on top of your bar area, keep it clean and tidy
and support your colleagues during busy times.

Computer literate, experience using programs to order stock items and
electronic point of sale (EPOS) systems
Ability to stand for long periods on shift and lift heavy boxes/items safely

Main Duties/Responsibilities
As Bartender you will:
Assessing customer preferences and making drink recommendations
Complying with all food and beverage regulations
Providing a friendly guest experience for patrons
Taking beverage orders from customers or wait staff, preparing and serving
drinks as requested, paying extreme attention to detail.
Confidently checking identification to verify legal age requirements for
customers
Mixing beverages using an extensive range of ingredients including liquor,
bitters, soda, water, sugar, and fruits
Slicing, pitting, and preparing fruit garnishes for drinks, and if applicable,
creating unique drinks
Organising the bar area to streamline drink preparation and inventory
Satisfying patron requests in a timely manner, by developing and maintaining
an efficient work pace and organised station
Limiting customer problems by restricting alcohol intake where appropriate
and attempting to curtail inappropriate behaviour
Taking money for drinks served and providing change as needed
Balancing cash receipts, maintaining an accurate cash drawer throughout the
night
Performing alcohol and stock inventories to help maintain proper inventory
levels
Cleaning the bar, tables, chairs, and work area to maintain a clean and
sanitary environment
If required, preparing and serving appetisers, snacks, or other food items for
customers at the bar
Planning bar menus and specials as required
Qualifications/Licences/Certifications
Essential
High/secondary school education to GCSE level required
Desirable but not necessary:
Product knowledge and/or eager to learn new products
Training or experience with bartending
Extensive knowledge of drink-mixing and garnishing is a bonus
Certification as a mixologist from a reputable bartending school is a bonus
Second language a plus
