Position: Chef de Partie
Establishment: Contract Catering
Location: Andover
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 P/A (depending on experience)
Type: Permanent
Hours/Shifts: The average working week is 40 hours over 5 days out of 7 days. Shifts are currently daytime hours but the site is usually 24 hours when at full capacity so could be day or night shifts on a rota basis.
My client is an award-winning event company that caters for luxury private jets and events. They are currently looking for Chef de Partie to join the team at their production kitchen located in Andover.
The company has a production kitchen where it creates world class cuisine for international travel. The role would either suit Chef de Partie or Junior Sous that has fine dining/fresh food cooking background and want to bring this skill to a different environment.
The hours are flexible and tie in to the demands of the international traveller so there will be a mixture of earlies and lates but all shifts are straight but the chefs also need to be prepared to work evenings when the demand is there.
As a Chef De Partie you will be:

  • Working with the Head Chef and Sous Chef, following recipe specs.
  • To clearly label and rotate stock including allergen information.
  • To ensure that the food is of the highest possible standard.
  • Working in an organised manner and cleaning as you go. All areas should be clean and hygienic at all times.
  • To ensure that all food is prepared, produced and packed on time.
  • To help with stock management, cleaning fridges, rotating stock and stock counting.
  • To always be dressed in the correct PPE for the working environment.
  • We would like someone who has a real interest in food and learning. Someone who is enthusiastic and willing to contribute ideas to menus.

  • Passionate about great food with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Be inspired to create innovative delicious homemade food. A real forward thinker, being aware of market trends.
  • Able to work under pressure within a busy kitchen environment
  • Have great leadership skills, leading by example.
  • Experienced in managing large scale kitchen operations.
