Warehouse/Counterbalance Forklift Driver Day or Night shift

Blue Arrow are seeking an FLT driver / Warehouse and Yard Operative to join the team at their site based in Newtownabbey
Day shift and Night Shift work available
Day Shift -Working Hours - 6am - 4pm Monday to Friday and 1 in every 4 Saturdays
Night Shift - Working hours - Sunday 10pm-finish approx. 8am-10am, Monday to Thursday 11pm-finish
The main purpose of the role is the loading and unloading of palletised freight.
Wages
Day Shift -£10.00 per hour
£12 per hour overtime after 45 hours & £11.50 per hour for Saturdays which are 1 in 4
Night shift - £11.67 per hour
£13 per hour overtime after 45 hours
The successful candidate will be required to:
* Be proactive / well organised and attention to detail
* Work on own initiative - Willing /able to find a solution
* Be able to assess a load prior to loading i.e. Height/Weight and stability for double stacking - also weight distribution / stability assessment to ensure the freight is safe to travel on a truck
* Carry out routine daily checks on equipment and record accordingly
* Be able/willing to operate scanners / Computers
* Be aware of the need to occasionally manually handle consignments and re build pallets to ensure safe and presentable to the customer.
* Take pride in the duties
* Have excellent proactive House keeping
* Prepare vehicles for loading (opening/closing curtains - removing Pallets)
* Be a good communicator
* Preferably have pallet network experience
Essential Criteria
* 2 years warehouse experience essential and counterbalance forklift license required
