A great restaurant / bar based in Southampton are looking for an experienced Sous Chef, Using the finest local ingredients, guests expect amazing fresh food - The right Sous Chef will ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and presented to a high standard.
Key Information:
- Salary: £30,000
- Hours: 5/7 days, 45 hours, straight shifts
- Location: Southampton
- Contract: Permanent
Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- To ensure the food preparation and presentation meets the required standards
- To keep all working areas clean and tidy
- To supervise and motivate the team when required
- To comply with hotel's health and safety and food safety legislations
- To monitor portion control, fresh food, and dry store orders
Required skills include:
- A good understanding of produce and ingredients
- Experience in the kitchen and passion for hospitality
- Basic knowledge of food production methods
- Embrace new ideas and processes
- Positive and approachable manner

- Experience with high volume fresh food
