Sous Chef - Weekends Only
We are looking for Sous Chef to work Weekends:
Stauray and Sunday 8.45am-6.15pm
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
To assist with production and service of Boarders' Weekend meals and all aspects of catering Health & Food Safety
* Preparing, cooking and serving of food to a standard and quality to ensure the "take up" of meals is 100% of Boarders and associated staff in accordance with weekly menus and recipes
* To maintain standards in portion control and presentation to enable meeting of production and service deadlines and customer satisfaction: You are expected to serve on the counter
* To carry out and record food & equipment checks as outlined by our Food Safety schedule.
* Vigilance in respect of personal and food hygiene,
* Responsible for the strict control of allergens within their assigned area and being mindful of food intolerances and religious requirements in preparation, cooking and storage: Correct completion of Allergen paperwork in line with Natasha's Law
* Working with the Catering Assistants in cleaning of kitchen area as outlined in our cleaning schedule.
* To operate as Team Leader through service, leading and supporting the Catering Assistants to ensure all required tasks are carried out professionally and in a timely manner.
* To be flexible to enable you to react professionally to any late requests
* To support internal and external Hospitality if required by the school
* To deal with all pupils, staff and colleagues in a polite and professional manner at all times
