Procurement Manager required for a 6 -12 month contract with a company that are brand leaders in their field.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join this company on a contract.
Purpose of the role:-
Deliver procurement outcomes on Capital projects note: projects contain a significant Civils element and therefore strong capability and experience in civils procurement is desirable. This includes (but is not limited to):
Leading or supporting Sourcing activities associated with the allocated project.
Supporting end-to-end procurement management through the execution of the execution of the works including any additional sourcing, supplier performance management, stakeholder management, variations, risk management, project updates and escalation management.
Working in close collaboration with the technical team to assure all project KPIs are met.
Identify and appropriately manage all opportunities and risk as the projects progress.
Requirements:
Degree qualified and member of professional body ie CIPS
Minimum 5 years experience in CapEx Procurement - must have extensive experience in Civils procurement on large scale green and brown field projects
Demonstrated performance in projects with cross-functional teams, experience in executing projects aligned to category and procurement strategies, managing and negotiating with suppliers
Strong analytical and financial awareness including a strong understanding of financial goals and value drivers relevant to CapEx
Track record of generating insights to influence decision-making, good commercial acumen
Need to be technically literate with proven record of using systems successfully.
Proven track record or consistent performance and delivery
Category-specific requirements
Ability to carry out complex Capital tenders driving value in both the capital costs and life cycle costs.
Ability to execute Pan-regional and global sourcing exercises with multiple business stakeholders analyse, recommend and secure business alignment.
Ability to work with regional teams in the execution of sourcing recommendations and ongoing supplier performance management
Strong track record across CapEx category management, sourcing and relationship management.
Accountabilities
Manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery hitting all key KPIs
Manage risks, create and deliver value
In close alignment with project team, develop and grow relationships with stakeholders, partners and suppliers for deeper insights into needs and capabilities,
Generate insights and opportunities from internal and external benchmarking, develop cost models to consider scenarios with suppliers and stakeholders and build and evolve analytics capabilities that allow regular review and improvement of strategies
Execute contracts, manage contracts and contract compliance
Mitigate risks , engaging all relevant stakeholders, partners and suppliers
Build and establish standards, ways of working and trust relationship with global suppliers
