Blue Arrow are recruiting for a Learning and Skills Development Consultant for our client based near the city centre of Edinburgh. Initially a two year FTC with the possibility of going permanent, the role will start out working from home. The successful candidate will have previous experience working in an organisational learning role, designing competency and skills development programmes.
These roles will sit within our Learning and Organisational Development Team, the team that takes a lead role in developing the skills and talents of our clients people. This is an exciting time as our team will play an important role in developing a future-proofed workforce and building a learning-oriented organisation in the achievement of our strategic plans and ambitions.
We are looking for three talented Learning and Skills Consultants to join our team, each focusing on different aspects of our learning and skills development plans and initiatives which are Skills, Competence and Learning and Innovation.
Learning & Skills Development Consultant (Skills)
In this role you will analyse the impact of our Transformation initiatives and develop skills strategies and skills interventions to build the skills we need now and in the future. You will provide challenge and advice to key customers to look at the most effective skills strategies whether that is to buy, borrow, build or release skills. Designing and building skills interventions in conjunction with our key stakeholders and key learning providers using 70:20:10 approach will also be a key part of this role.
Learning & Skills Development (Competence)
In this role you will support the build and integration of dynamic competence frameworks across the organisation by engaging with and providing guidance to key stakeholders, prioritising those essential to our people processes and those that enable our strategic ambitions.
You will work with the wider Learning and Talent Team to drive forward our skills, leadership and transformation agendas. Building a network across the business to understand and scope requirements for our technical skills and Leadership development frameworks will be critical. You will work collaboratively with the Learning Operations team to systemise and maintain these with the end user experience in mind.
Learning & Skills Development Consultant (Learning & Innovation)
In this role you will play a key part in helping our client become a learning-oriented organisation that continuously improves, learns from mistakes and feedback and celebrates employee-led innovation. You will be responsible for designing and implementing interventions that drive both internal and external learning and innovation, working collaboratively with key stakeholders across the business and externally.
You will design strategies and interventions which will develop and embed the agreed behaviours required to role-model best-practice in relation to learning and incentivise and embed a learning culture. You will also build upon existing good practice, working with our colleagues across the organisation to create a systematic approach continuous improvement and innovation by harnessing our opportunities to learn from our partners, customers, stakeholders.
