Employee Relations Manager

Medway NHS Foundation Trust are looking for a Employee Relations Manger to join the team, reporting to the Deputy Director of Human Resources. ASAP start for an initial 12 week placement.

Hours: Mon- Fri 37.5hrs

Pay: £20.35 per hour (Band 6)

Standard DBS required

Job Purpose:

The post holder will support the Head of Employee Relations in the delivery of a comprehensive employee relations service to the Trust, with a focus on ensuring service continuity and cover on complex issues across the organisation, ER quality and process improvement and the design and delivery of ER training interventions.

Key Responsibilities:
* ER quality and process improvement e.g. work with ER team / internal HR stakeholders to improve process relating to termination forms, data transparency/consistency on sickness management for HRBP's

* Work closely and act as educationalist/quality check for HR Managers x 2 in the ER Team on day-to-day issues and ER best practice, including acting as point of escalation for case queries

* Design and roll out of ER training first for ER staff and then line managers on robust investigations and sickness management

* Implementation of reflective learning workshops for ER staff on case outcomes they have worked on to support upskilling

* Support the Head of ER with policy reform across the full suite of HR policies, to include Improving People Practices work/Baroness Harding review

* Be able to take on and confidently respond to ACAS Early Conciliation claims, employment tribunals and MHPS cases if needed
