The post of Planning Analyst reports to the Senior Planning Analyst and its main objective is to support the provision of Planning and Business Intelligence to the senior management of the University
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the annual planning processes of the University
Collate and analyse data and produce statistical reports, using both internal and external data sources
Assist in the preparation of reports, documents and presentations
Undertake research on issues pertinent to the work of the Planning and Business Intelligence service
Prepare briefings of and summaries of policy and consultative documents
Liaise with senior management, academic staff, and the wider university in undertaking these duties
Observe confidentiality in all matters relating to the work
Work flexibly providing cover for other members of the Planning Team
To develop and maintain appropriate technical skills to maximise the use of available information technology for the delivery of a high quality service
To undertake other duties commensurate with the grade and duties of the post, as required
Carry out all duties in accordance with the University's policies, with particular reference to Health and Safety and Equal Opportunities.
Degree or equivalent
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office evidenced by an IT qualification or demonstrable experience.
GCSEs at Grade C or above, including Maths and English, or equivalent/higher qualifications
Experience of working with spreadsheets, databases and BI tools
Experience of writing reports and taking notes from meetings
