Chef Manager - Nursing home - Andover - £35,000 to £40,000 for the right candidate

Are you an experienced Chef Manager that has got experience in Care homes? Are you looking for a new challenge and think you can live up to the high standards?

If so, then look no further...

Chef Manager required for a Nursing home site in Andover. The hours are 40hrs per week alternate weekends. The successfully Chef manger will have responsibility for the kitchen rota. So the shift pattern is flexible.

Create nutritious, flavoursome and well-balanced seasonal menus, actively working with residents to tailor menus around them the same time working to achieve the budget.

Responsibilities of role:

  • To deliver and provide food & beverages for the residents to the highest standard
  • To prepare fresh, seasonal, traditional and speciality style menus from fresh ingredients
  • Implement and maintain statutory and company standards of hygiene, food safety and health & safety
  • Management administration duties, including cashing up, weekly stock take, payroll, completion of the weekly accounts
  • Production of new menu cycle and theme menus
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships both with company individuals and client personnel at all levels
  • Recruit, coach & mentor team, set goals & develop individuals on an on-going basis

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A "can do" attitude
  • Previous experience in a care environment
  • Food hygiene, health and safety and NVQ qualifications
  • Flexibility in working hours and days
  • Good IT skills
  • Experience in a similar role
